[Opinions] Keely

It sounds very cutesy and trendy. I agree with you: I'm surprised it's not more popular. I don't know any Keelys, but I do think it will sound dated like Kelly.
I don't think the meaning or sound is anything special. It's just kind of a "blah" name for me. I like the look of Keeley better; Keely reminds me of "keel".

I don't find any substance at all in this name. I am very tired of any name that begins with K and ends with y, ie, ee, or especially eigh. For my generation there was Kelly and Kerry, which then inspired Karly, then Kasey, then Kylie... etc. Keely seems to follow that pattern. Those names all sound the same to me. I think even if it is uncommon, it is so similar to common names that it will sound dated. In fact I think it already seems dated to the 80's/90's.

I knew a girl named Keely but I don't like it.
I don't like it, think it's a bit cutesy. Don't know any Keely's either.
I dislike it. I find it to be very cutesy and I don't think it will age well. I only know one girl with this name, she's probably around 18 now. I think she spells it Keli though.
