For the past six years of their marriage, Henry has been cheating on Winifred with a younger woman named Emma. The couple has had three children together. The mere thought of her husband cheating on her has rattled Winifred to the core, but she knows for the sake of her family, she must say with Henry. She has given him an ultimatum: leave Emma, or she takes the kids and leaves. She has assured him that once she leaves, he will not be able to find her or their 8 kids. He chooses to stay with Winifred, but asks that Emma leave their children with him. She agrees if he pays her a handsome sum. After handing over the money, Andrew, Everett, and Vivian come to live with Henry and Winifred. Winifred has grown to love the children in her own way, but it will take time before she can get over the fact that these are her husband's mistress's children and that Emma was pregnant with Vivian at the same time that she was pregnant with little Gordon.

1909: We had a tragedy this year. Our little Sammy died of Polio. We miss him every day. We have also welcomed two new children to the family in the last few years, Perry and Miriam. Len, Agnes, Perry and Miri were all very, very sad to see Sammy go. He was so full of life!
1914: The whole family relocated last year to an army base in Texas. Wally is in the army to protect our country. Right now, he's in training and is learning how to use planes. What a neat new invention they are. He will possibly be jumping out of them! We will definitely miss him. He is leaving in three weeks to be stationed in Germany.

They took in two new boarders just before the war- Frank Timmins, a shy, kindly sort of man who Matty seems to have taken a liking to- and Florence Gust, pretty and young.
Unfortunately, Rosella died giving birth to Georgie. Everybody in the family was in a turmoil, and Henry remarried to Flo soon after to see if a woman's care could reign his children back into line. Vi, Russ, and Walter have taken a liking to having her as their mother, though Mathilda, in her teenage ways, has rebelled in every way she can.

It's been five years! Five amazing years! We had another daughter, Nellie. Sadly she was born on the same as WW1 started. We are afraid of the future but we are hoping for the best. Esther, now fifteen, is a very intelligent young woman. She has a lot of friends but she also loves to help out with her younger siblings. Daisy is the shy one. However when she gets to know someone she opens up and become very good friends with them. Both Carl and David and typical young boys. They love to joke around and make life hard for their siblings. Nellie is one year old now. She runs around and laughing a lot.

One day, Lucio was not feeling well. He was passing out in class. Samir and Honorata rushed him to the doctor. They prayed for him to get better, but Lucio didn't. He died in 1911 and was buried.
Samir and Honorata have had four more children; however, one of them died as a baby. After Anibal's birth, they decided that they were done having children.

She is a lovely young lady and the couple has parental approval all around... but it may be a while before they're married! No need to rush!
Sophy is eleven now and is a very well mannered young lady. Kelly and Rose don't think it'll be long before she is courting as well.
Vivienne likes insisting she is a grown up. She tries very hard to act mature. She copies Sophy a lot.
