[Opinions] WDYTO Dean?
It was my grandfathers middle name and I am on the fence as to whether I should consider using it in future. What are your thoughts on Dean? Be brutally honest, I can handle it.

I would likely use it as a middle name anyway. I typically don't like to use honouring names in the first name slot.
Then I say go for it. It's a great name.
Honestly, I don't like it. I don't know if its the sound, or a few bad associations, or what, but I have just never really been a fan. Sorry. But I do think that if you wanted to honor your grandfather it would be an okay middle name.
I don't mind it at all. At least it isn't really popular and if it honours someone special, then why not.
I've known two.
And they've both been odd ducks in their own ways.
Otherwise it's not that bad of a name. Ordinary, common but a good, solid name in most respects.

Its not too bad
Brutally honest? I reminds me of Jimmy Dean sausages (and I'm a vegetarian), and James Dean (which is not the worst association ever).
Regardless, it's not awful. I'm not fond of it or anything, as it is far too manly man-ish for my taste. Rather a Dean than an Aidan (I do like Aidan, it's just far too common) or a Jordan though.
