Some things has happened in our family, mostly bad things. When Joseph turned 18 he joined the military at Pearl Harbor. When we had about what had happen and we had'nt heard from him, we just knew that he was dead. Of course we all are devestated, especially Esther, Freddie and Philip. Philip turned 18 this year and he was going to do the very same thing as Joseph, join the military and fight in the war. But just when he was about to join the war ended and he decided to try to help people here in the US instead. Esther is very glad that he decided to help people instead of killing them and being killed.
One of our grandchilden, Daisy, has becomed a mother herself. Sadly it didn't went as we all hoped for. Just like Joseph her boyfriend George fighted in the war Two more before their son's birth Daisy got a phonecall. George was dead. Like really dead. Daisy being 17 at the time didn't know what to do! She moved back in to our house and in the end of August a beutiful baby boy, Simon, was born. He look just like his dad and he remind Daisy of her loss every single day. However Diays met another man. The two of them started dating and they are now together. Daniel sees Simon as his own son even though they are going to tell Simon the truth when he gets a year or two older.
David and Lucy, still in Germany, welcomed a healthy baby boy in January. They named him Barnabas. Now when the war has ended tehy are going to move back home again so hopefully we will see them around in a couple of years. We never even met our own grandchildren so we are looking forward to that! And we looking forward to hug David once again. We are so glad that he and the children survived!
Agnes on the other hand, didn't have it as easy as David. We know that Nik was killed by the Nazi in 1942 but in 1944 we lost contact with the whole family. We don't know where they are and if they are alive or not. We are afraid every single day but now when the war is over we are hoping that they will contact us again. However we are afraid of hoping. Instead we tell ourself that they are all dead.
Neither Liam or Isaac has a girlfriend or has gotten married. We are hoping that they get married and have children before we die. However Carl is quite ill right now and we don't know how long time he has left.
