I met a Michaela who told me that her name is often misspelled [with many of the creative selling]. How ironic, I thought. What does everyone think of the name? Especially the spelling Michaela as not being seen as the "right" spelling.

I don't care for how it sounds, though I would much rather see it spelled Michaela than..well, any other way.

I don't like it at all. I had a teacher in high school named this and she was awful. I've only seen it spelled the "right" way. I don't know too many Michaela's.

That is sad. I love the sound of Michaela but with the many kr8ive spellings, I'm a bit turned off now. I think my favorite spelling is Micaela followed by Michaela.

I love it, and think that this (Michaela) is the only spelling that looks correct. Makayla, etc. just look convoluted and wrong to me.

I know, I think it's sad that there are at least two misspellings of Michaela that are more popular than the right one. I actually think Michaela is a nice name, but I hate all the other spellings of it.

Michaela is the *only* "right" spelling, imo

All the others are elaborated versions of Kayla, as far as I'm concerned. Makayla, Mikayla, Mahkayelah (I know one of these), etc -- pah! Tryndee crap.

Michaela is on my "I would love it but everyone else f*cks it up for me so never mind" list.

I dislike Michaela, only because all the trendy crap spellings tainting my view.

I like Michaela a lot. I'd consider using it.

But all those other trendy, horrible, made up spellings are crap. All it does is make the parent look stupid because they can't spell a name correctly.

It's the only spelling I can accept for this name. Whenever I see Maykayla I get cold shivers down my spine. I think it looks absolutely hiddeous.
Plus that I feel it alters the pronounciation. I mean if I were in the dark about the kreative spelling I wouldn't pronounce them the same way.
I would pronounce Mykayla/Maykayla more like (my-kay-la) not like Michaela (me-kah-ela)

I like it pronounced the Latinate way, Mee-ka-EH-la, not so much as if it's Michael + a.
