[Surname] Orticelli?
This is the name of one of my great-grandfathers.
It is Italian, and he was from Fondi, Latina, Latium, if that helps. I know -elli probably means "little" in this case, so the real question is what the "ortic" means.

It should come fom place names like Orto, Orti or Orta or Orticelli a little village of the area of the nearby province of Avellino. In fact many of the italian Orticelli still live in Fondi (Latina).
Orticelli could be a nickname of the person who sold vegetables. By the way"Orto" in Italian means "kitchen-garden"
