Dolly has died. She was 87 when she passed away quietly in 1958. Edith still lives with Charlie and Mabel, however; she is getting weaker and now that Dolly is gone Edith is very lonely.
Barbara and Angus live in Scotland still and are raising their three daughters. Maura, Bridget and Ellen are quite rambunctious, but they are the light of their parents’ life. Barbara wants to take the family on holiday to America, so Maura, Bridget and Ellen can meet their grandparents and great-grandmother.
Nothing worth mentioning has happened in the lives of Dorothy and Martin. Their two oldest girls are now teenagers, which can be quite interesting…
Hank and Margot have had another boy, who they have named Eric Washington. Arthur is a great big brother; he takes care of his baby brother, but he also teaches Eric some bad things once in a while…
Edward and Caroline are still married and happily so.
Edward recently got in touch with his daughter Ruby, whom he had not seen since she was a little girl. Ruby and her much older husband Richard Hopkins moved to University Park with their little girl, Dana, in 1959. Richard had been offered a job at Penn State, where Edward still teaches art history.
Anne Elisabeth had not spoken to Ruby since she became pregnant with her English literature professor’s child, so Ruby was very happy to be reunited with her father.
Ruby and Richard welcomed their second daughter, Camilla, in 1960.
Simon and Georgia have had one more child, a daughter, whom they named Eliza Fournier Washington. Simon is a lawyer and Georgia stays at home with Diana, Nick and Eliza.
Audrey and Eddie are raising Ethan and Leah in New York.
Bobby and Eleanor had one more child, a son named Mark, in 1960. They are now done having children. Bobby supports the family by working at the Boston City Hall. Eleanor is a homemaker.
Jane married a man named Vincent Morrison in 1958 and gave birth to a son, Kevin, in 1959.
John became a parent when he and his wife Maxine welcomed a son in 1960. They named the boy Morgan Washington.
Rose loves all her grandchildren and loves to baby sit them.
Aster is at university in Europe. She is studying in Amsterdam and having a wonderful time! Martha and Everett are very happy for her, and so are Emma and Lawrence too.
Ada is living in Napa Valley, where she is enjoying herself.
Sunny and Daniel are done having children. Daniel would have liked one more child, but Sunny put her foot down; four children are enough!
Drew and Daphne had twin girls, Jacqueline and Cecilia, in 1956. They are not planning on having any more children. Drew works in the film industry and Daphne is a housewife.
Aleksey and Laura have not had any more children. They are content with their twin boys, Wesley and Harvey. Aleksey also works in the film industry and Laura is a children’s books author.
Kay had married a man 13 years her senior named Leonard King. She has given birth to two boys; Jerome and James. She is now a stay-at-home-mom. Leonard is a director and quite successful.
Patrick and Mary are just quietly going about their lives. Nothing important has happened.
Thomas and Mary Beth have not had any more children. They have tried but seem to be unable to conceive. Mary Beth has suffered three miscarriages and they don’t want to experience that again, so they have given up their plan to have a boy.
Shirley and George welcomed one more boy in 1956. They named him Cameron Vasseur after Shirley’s maiden name.
Phyllis and Ben have their twin girls and are content. They do not plan on having more children.

Rose loves all her grandchildren and loves to baby sit them.
Aster is at university in Europe. She is studying in Amsterdam and having a wonderful time! Martha and Everett are very happy for her, and so are Emma and Lawrence too.
Ada is living in Napa Valley, where she is enjoying herself.
Sunny and Daniel are done having children. Daniel would have liked one more child, but Sunny put her foot down; four children are enough!
Drew and Daphne had twin girls, Jacqueline and Cecilia, in 1956. They are not planning on having any more children. Drew works in the film industry and Daphne is a housewife.
Aleksey and Laura have not had any more children. They are content with their twin boys, Wesley and Harvey. Aleksey also works in the film industry and Laura is a children’s books author.
Kay had married a man 13 years her senior named Leonard King. She has given birth to two boys; Jerome and James. She is now a stay-at-home-mom. Leonard is a director and quite successful.
Patrick and Mary are just quietly going about their lives. Nothing important has happened.
Thomas and Mary Beth have not had any more children. They have tried but seem to be unable to conceive. Mary Beth has suffered three miscarriages and they don’t want to experience that again, so they have given up their plan to have a boy.
Shirley and George welcomed one more boy in 1956. They named him Cameron Vasseur after Shirley’s maiden name.
Phyllis and Ben have their twin girls and are content. They do not plan on having more children.
