The Erykah Badu (or however you spell her name) post got me really turned on to this name. I've never really considered it before but all the sudden I'm in love with it. For a boy, of course. Are you turned off by the associations? As I've been seeing men throughout the day I've been trying to picture them as being named Mars (something that I find helps me judge a name's workability) and it seemed usable to me, probably because it's similar to Mark.

Anyway, blah blah blah, long story short, WDYT of Mars?

Mars Meriwether? Mars Evander?

Mars is interesting, but I'm not sure if I really like it as FN. I think it could grow on me. I've met a Mercury "Merc" before, and I thought it suited him well. Some planet names can definitely work on real people.

Mars Evander has a great flow. I love Evander.

I like it as the Latin form of Ares, but the chocolate puts me off it. But my MP3 player is called Mars :)

Mars could easily become a GP of mine (for a boy). I went to school with a Marcellino, who people referred to as Marce. I think it has a similiar sound that I quite like.

Mars Evander would be a great combo, as I really like both names. However, the more I say it to myself, it reminds me of Mars Invader. I don't know why.

Although I don't like the name Mars, Mars Evander sounds nice.
