[Opinions] Athena!
I've been really loving Athena lately, and it's the first name I've actually run by my boyfriend and gotten a positive reaction to (he said he always thought it was really cool, and of course he is right), so I'm pretty happy about that. I've had a few things on my mind about Athena anyway, so...1. sibset: My boyfriend went to elementary school with a girl named Athena, and I think she had an awesome sibset: Calypso / Kalypso (not sure which spelling), Athena, and Sophocles. WDYT?2. combos: I'm having trouble with Athena combos (the best I have right now is Athena Soleil, and I'm really just 'meh' on that...I've also been thinking about Athena Zoe). Any suggestions? Throw some Athena combos at me! :D3. popularity: I'm not terribly worried about this, but I can't help myself from asking: where do you see Athena's popularity going? I guess I'm slightly worried that it's at the highest it's ever been in the US, though I can't see Athena getting past the 200s myself. Am I probably safe in assuming that Athena's close to reaching a plateau?TIA!

1. The sibset is cool and very Greek.2. Athena Zoe is great. 3. I don't think Athena would get popular unless someone famous used it or unless someone named Athena became famous.

1. Athena is one of my dd's favorite names. Just in case you're interested, the other names she likes with it are: Demetria, Rhea, Artemis, Gaia, Poseidon, Apollo, and Kronos. Yes, I know. She's an unusual 10-year old. ;-) She loves Greek, Egyptian and Norse mythology. Of your sibset, I like Athena and Calypso together. Sophocles is a bit much for me even though I enjoy the sound of it.2. Combos: I like Athena Soleil and Athena Zoe. I also like: Athena Joelle, Athena Corinne, Athena Daphne, Athena Cassandra, Athena Juliet, Athena Laurel, Athena Marisol, Athena Penelope, Athena Rosemary, Athena Rosalind, Athena Victoria.3. I can't see Athena becoming too popular. I'm hoping it'll be relatively uncommon when my dd has her babies.

I'm also liking Athena a lot just now.1. What a sibset. I don't care for it at all. Calypso sounds slightly tacky and Sophocles is a bit of a tongue twister for me. The whole sibset just sounds too contrived.2. Here's what I've though of for some combos:
Athena Celeste
Athena Charlotte
Athena Daphne
Athena Eleanor
Athena Elise
Athena Elodie
Athena Fern
Athena Genevieve
Athena Hermione
Athena Ines
Athena Iris
Athena Isis
Athena Jade
Athena Jasmine
Athena Juliet
Athena Kate
Athena Liadan
Athena Lilith
Athena Linnet
Athena Margot
Athena Melisande
Athena Nasrin
Athena Oceane
Athena Primrose
Athena Rhiannon

First, #3:I think you're safe on Athena's popularity, unless we suddenly get an amazing Athena superstar that everyone falls in love with and wants t name their children after!Okay, here we go:1. Wow. That is a potent sibset. I'm guessing their parents were hard-core classicists?? Sophocles is very daring. It sure is awesome but I'd probably pick it for a storybook, not real life.2. Do you want to stay within the classical theme for the mn? Or is it anything goes?Athena Milan
Athena Zosime
Athena Lunette
Athena Lucasta
Athena Celeste
Athena Musette
Athena Rose
