I have an eight year old niece named Madeline, pronounced Mad-a-lyn, the way you prefer. She has always been called Maddie which I think is very cute and pretty for a young girl her age. I do prefer the pronunciation Mad-a-lyn over Mad-a-line. Everyone has their own opinions and I think if you like the name you should use it because it is a beautiful and classy name.
