I love Madeline / Madeleine. I prefer the pronunciation MAD-eh-line for Madeline and MAD-uh-laine for Madeleine. I dislike the MAD-eh-lyn pronunciation because, funnily enough I think it sounds the opposite of classy. I like the idea of MAD-eh-lenne, but in the American south it just isn't plausible with our accents! :) I usually like nicknames, but Maddy isn't a favorite. I think it takes away from the name. I do like Abby for Abigail though.Caroline :-)
