I really like Aster. It seems masculine to me, but that's mostly because of a character in one of my favorite books. It could work on either gender.

I've always admired Aster (a name I've always regarded as feminine).

When I see Aster I instantly think of Esther.
However, in French Aster is a boys name - it is the male variation of Astérie. I think it also might be related to the name Asteria?
I like Aster - I think it could go either way.
