[Opinions] Rhoda
How do you feel about Rhoda?(Please be specific.) I, personally, like it, but I think I would only use it as a middle name. Would it be too fillerish as a middle name or is it sufficiently un-obvious that it means rose? (Sorry for the weird construction.)
If Rhoda were to be used as a first name, what would be a good nickname, or is it better without one? All I can think of is Rho, but that's harsh, unfeminine and too much like Roe v Wade, which makes it a bad nickname.
Last question: Rhoda or Rhona (or Rhonda if you really must)?

My great-aunt was named Rhoda! Her self-proclaimed middle name was Liberty.

I kind of like it. It doesn't sound too filler-ish. Rhoda is already short enough for no nn. I think I orefer Rhona, though.

I quite like Rhoda. I love that it means rose. I don't think it needs a nn at all. Rhoda before the other names. I think it can be either fn or mn.

I really think Rhoda, looks unattractive and sounds very harsh. I would also use it as a mn, there are no appealing nn's for it, that i can think of. What also comes to mind, is the movie "The Bad Seed". The little girl in it, is named Rhoda and not a good association. Great movie though! Also the tv sitcom "Rhoda", with Valerie Harper. I think i would prefer, Rhonda. It's very dated, but it's so much better than, Rhoda.
