Philomela is my favorite, but I like them all a good bit. I'd love to see any of them actually used, somewhere!

Philomena, as long as it's followed by something sensible:Philomena Catherine
Philomena Margaretetc. This name could easily be pushed over the edge by an overzealously fanciful middle name when it really doesn't need to be.

Philomena but....Philomene is my favorite Phil- name. I absolutely love it.

I admire all of those names, though I'm most fond of Philomena.

Not a fan, mainly because in two books I have read, there were awful characters called Philomena. That doesn't mean it's a horrible name though, and each to their own, I guess...Out of the names listed, however, I would say Philomel is the best choice, as it is the most unusual and doesn't sound quite as stuffy as the others.

The only one I like of the three is Philomela. I have it on my long list.I like that it has substance and is also a pretty and feminine name.

Philomena, hands down. Both Philomela and Philomel sound awkward to me. Philomena is lovely.

Philomena, then Philomel, then Philomela. They're all great though :)
