Hmmm, that's interesting. Like a combo of Merrie and Melody. I like it. :-)______________________

This is a personal favorite I discovered about a year ago. Welcome to the (rather small, I've discovered) club of Meridy / Merridy enthusiasts!
I tried to find out info about it.
http://www.behindthename.com/bb/arcview.php?id=62462&board=genThere are a lot of spelling variations, but Meridy's my favorite. The double R followed by -id reminds me a tiny bit of "horrid" and "torrid," and it looks more surnamey like Merriday - I mean, it just seems harsher to me personally with 2 Rs, but I think it's still a pretty name.yournotme.com reports 5 Meridys and 6 Merridys currently alive in the UK.At the moment the name is not on my shortlist because I've decided it looks too nicknamey / cute, and too much like it's short for Meredith, which is not a name I think I'd use on a girl. But I am still fond of it. I used it for one of my World of Warcraft characters :-D- chazda

I know a little Meridan...she's ADOREABLE! Her sister's name is Addison, but I don't know where they got Meridan.~*~*~*~

It looks like a made-up word, not even a name. The only thing I can think of is "Merridy, merridy, merridy, merridy (merrily), Life is but a dream" :b~Heather~
