August and Kristina, now in their late 60s live a quiet life on the farm with Nils and his family. Nils and his wife Emma still have three children; Tord, Isabella and Ingegerd.
Wilhelm and Alice's oldest child, Wilhelm August Jr has married a young American, Hannah Marie. Gustav, their second child has also got married. His wife, Emilia is part Swedish part American. The family is very happy to welcome Hannah and Emilia to the family and they are looking forward to grandchildren.
Johan and Mary are struggling with their farm. Johan has admitted that he is deep in debt and everyone is trying to help as much as possible. His three oldest daughters, Karolina, Elinor and Greta have found various jobs in the village and town and are contributing a lot. The family is hoping to be able to solve their financial crisis within a few months.
Karl and Kerstin have settled down in the village and Kerstin enjoys her job at the bank office. Karl has found temporary work helping the local smith. Victor, their oldest child is now 20 and works in town. Hugo,18 is going to university, the first in the Karlsson family.
Sara and James's oldest daughter Lillian has got married with a fine young man, Peter. Esaias and Benjamin are now 16 and 5. Esaias is not intrested in school but Sara and James want him to do well, they are hoping that they will be able to sent him to one of the best universities in the country.
When working as a nurse for with Dr.Hamilton Ingrid fell in love. She had never met anyoe like him and he did not judge her for the mistakes she made in her teens. He was very accepting of her daughter Lovisa whom she had out of wedlock. Ingrid and Dr. Hamilton, Christoper, got married a year ago and they are truly happy. Ingrid has also given birth to a son, Oliver. Lovisa, 19, adores her little half-brother and knows that her mother has found a great man. Although Lovisa doesn't feel close to Christopher she likes him and realises the difference he has made for her mother.
Oscar and Katinka are doing and so is their family farm. They have welcomed another son, Karsten and now have three children; Sophia, Henning and Karsten. Oscar's twin brother, Gustav and his wife Lillemor are now parents to six lively boys; Albin, Edvin, Martin, Agustin, Melvin and Benjamin.
Erik got out of prison four years ago after serving a two year sentence for fraud. He soon left Stockholm and returned to Gothenburg. He found a job in the harbour. He had promised himself never to get in anymore trouble and although he did not break any laws his life changed dramatically one year ago when a young woman he had only met a few times came to see him. She claimed that he was the father to her daughter Eva. Erik agreed to see the child, a part of him was loning for a family, but what happened after that was something he could not have foreseen. The girl's mother disappeared and left him with the child and even though Erik did his best to find her she was no where to be found. He has now taken care of Eva for a little more than a year.
Maria and John has welcomed another son, William.
Margareta and Karl-Erik have welcomed a son, Alexander.
