I understand some names can have bad associations, but what's so bad about having your name associated with a mouse? I'm in love with the name Algernon and read Flowers For Algernon mainly because I wanted to see if the association was bad, but it didn't affect my view of the name at all. I fail to see the negativity, to be honest.
