I find it pretty feminine because I'm familiar with it only through Marlo Thomas and another female Marlo. More than anything, however, I find it surnamey, so I think it could be used for either gender. The Marlow or Marlowe spelling both look masculine enough to me.
I don't like it much for either gender, but if I had to pick, I'd use it for a girl and spell it Marlo.
