[Opinions] Mason?
I was surprised to see this name in the top 100 list for boys in 2007. I don't think I've ever met a Mason, young or old and had no idea it was so popular! I used to really dislike the name but I've been marathoning the show Dead Like Me, and my favorite character on the show is named Mason (played by Callum Blue) so it's grown on me in a major way. What does everyone else think of Mason?

I'm seeing this name too often nowadays. Despite that, it has an okay sound to it.

I know some Mason's so to me it does seem popular. But it's a nice name. Trendy but nice.

Really? I think Mason must be one of the most popular names in my area. It seems to be in my local BAs every week, I know at least four under age 5 at church, and there seems to be at least one in every class at my son's preschool. I'm very tired of it.Now that I think about it, I believe I see more Masons than Jacobs, Michaels, and Ethans combined. I'm almost sure of it.

I've heard it around lately...I remember reading a newspaper "human interest" story from a local paper a while ago featuring an 8 year old GIRL named Mason... or Masen. It's actually a guilty pleasure name for me (uh, for boys only!).
It sounds so strong and solid. I knew a kid named Mace. I don't know what happened that made his parents use that name!

It's REALLY trendy where I live.
I know a lot of Masons, all under 20.
The sound isn't that bad.
