Vie-Oh-lah is always the pronunciation I have heard. Vee-O-lah I think may be incorrect.

I am almost positive in any country where the long i sound is rarely used (Romance languages), Vie-oh-lah is not way it's pronounced.

exactly, in German and Italian it's vee-OH-la
