[Opinions] Jr on a girl? American Idol baby and the name Aven?
A couple of questions.
First I read that the American Idol contestant Alexis Grace named her baby girl Ryan Jr after her fiance. She and her fiance could not find a girl name that they liked. Her fiance is named Ryan so they decided to just go with that. Ryan Jr is now 2 years old.So what do you think of Ryan Jr for a girl?
Also in a magazine I read the baby name Aven. Aven was a baby boys name. What do you think of Aven?
Thanks!
Edited a spelling correction.

I think Ryan Jr for a girl is flat-out stupid, to be blunt. I don't like juniors (or Ryan) for boys, either, but for a girl it's exceptionally bad.Aven is not one I've seen before, but I don't think I like it. It looks like a brandname.

Oh, that's just not right. I'd feel like I was punishing my daughter if she had a name like Ryan.Aven is ok, I suppose. It reminds me of a songbird for some reason.

1st: the parents should be slapped. That is such a gawd-awful thing to do to a little girl! gah! why dont people think about these things!? 2nd: Aven is ok. There is a user-submitted name Avin but it says that its a girls name and there is no origin or meaning posted with that either. *shrugs*

I think Ryan is strictly a boys' name. The Jr. only makes it worse.Aven is more of a sound than a name to me.

Ryan Jr. is slightly atrocious, but i am slightly fond of Junior itself as a girls name (probalby because i wrote a story once with a girl named Junior and the idea sort of stuck)
Aven sounds nice but i dont really know that much about it
