[Opinions] Miro?
What do you think of Miro, on either gender? I can't decide which I prefer it on. I think I'm leaning toward male. I don't like its longer form, Miroslav, unfortunately, so I'm also trying to figure out some things it could be nicknames for, male or female. Or, do you think it works well enough on its own?

♥ ♥ ♥I *love* it, especially as a short form of Miroslav. But since you don't like Miroslav, how about another name that has the "mir" element in it, like Vladimir or Slavomir or something. It's all boy to me - please don't use it for a girl! I don't really think it works on its own.

I think it's masculine and it works well on its own. My first thought was Miró, the Spanish painter, which makes it less nicknamey in my opinion.

I'd never ever use this on a girl as a full fn. It's strictly male and I think it shows. But yes, I like it, and I think it works just fine as a full fn. As long as nns are not too cutesy or terrible (Bumblebee-honey-poo whatever), I think it's sometimes fine to use it as a full fn, as long as it is fairly common. I think Miro IS fairly common in Slovenia, and I like it!
