Alexis will always be a male name for me. I like saying "Tsar Alexis" too much. Yes, I know that's not the original Russian form. But it's the form I first heard it, so it's stuck in my head that way.

Alexis is not a girl name in my opinion. I love it for a boy, dislike it for a girl. Alexandra (without the nickname Alex!) is much better for a girl.

I love the name Alexis. I prefer the longer variants Alexandria, Alexandra etc. Alexis is a very pretty name.

I've always loved the name Alexis. If it wasn't so popular, I would want to use it.

I kind of like it on a boy. I don't hate it on a girl, but don't like it either. I absolutely adore Alexandra though. It's my #2 girl's name.

I'd use Alexis only for a girl. I know too many kids named Alexander/ Alexandrea/ Alexia/ Alexa/ Lexi to use it or any form though.
