[Opinions] What names do you find difficult to pronounce?
I'm not referring to being uncertain about how to pronounce a name, but literally which ones do you have trouble saying without feeling awkward?I have trouble saying names like Aurora and Rory. Please share.

Varients of Dylan- I can say Dylan but not names similar. They all come out sounding like Dylan to me even if someone says their name is pronounced differently. This girl I know who's name is Dellyn or something like that says her name's not pronounced Dylan, but when my sister's explained how it was pronounced it sounded the same. Aaron/Erin- I don't know if this is wrong, but I say them the same

I have trouble with Aurora and Rory too. I also have trouble with the word 'rural' :pI guess I have a little trouble with Wilhelmina, too, though I love it. I never quite know whether I should say the second L or not. Usually I just say "Willa-Mina"...

Nadezhda. I have a friend with this name, so therefore every now and then I heard someone grapple with it, but she usually goes by the easier Nadejda, pronounced 'Nah-Dee-Dah." But I only recently found out about the second "d." For months I've thought it was Nadeja!

WillaI guess because I like the name Rilla so much. Willa sounds like how I would say Rilla if I was seven, because I pronounced my Rs like Ws (and still do so every so often now). However, William and Will are fine. I guess if I liked Rilliam and Rill...

I've long said/felt the same about Rilla and Willa...Because I like Rilla as much as I do and am so used to it, Willa just sounds like someone who can't pronounce the letter R trying to say Rilla.

Thea. I always what to say Theeuh not Tayuh.
I also have a problem with Xanthe and Ianthe and all other names that end the same. I always want to just end them with th, not tay or teh.

Well in Modern Greek it is th, so it still works. :-)

Really? That makes me like those names so much more! I like them pronounced with the 'th' but not with the 'tay' or 'tuh.'

I cannot pronounce Philippa correctly. I've tried and tried, but am just unable to.I can only pronounce it with the stress on the second syllable, rather than the first.

I love Melania and Melanthia. They are hard for me to pronounce. I still love them.
