[Opinions] Rainbow
I know I shouldn't but I am starting to like the name Rainbow for a girl. Could it work as a first name or if used should it remain in the middle name spot? Have you any middle name or first name suggestions?Thank you

Rainbows are for My Little Ponies and Gay Pride parades. If you are uncomfortable with your child being associated with either of these, then don't choose Rainbow as a first name. She will be teased. It might work as a middle name, though, but only if coupled with a typical first name. I have to second what other people have said - Rainbow just seems so childish. So if you're young at heart, a hippy, or very open-minded, Rainbow might work.

I know of a guy named Rainbow, Rainbow Sun Francks, he's an actor...I'm not sure if it's his birth name or not though.
I'm not sure I would use it as a first name, but maybe as a middle name?

I don't like it at all for a first or middle name, I can already see middle schoolers laughing and making jokes. It doesn't even sound like a legitimate name. I'd much rather just use names that mean rainbow than the word itself.

I don't think it's usable, really. It seems childish, the kind of name a seven-year-old girl would give her toy pony.

I think Rainbow would be better in the middle name spot with an old-fashioned first name.Xanthe Rainbow
