What do you think of Mindy? Do you like it on its own? Or would you prefer it as a nickname for Melinda? Or does it ruin Melinda? Is it a just a no-go? Or is it okay?

My best friend is Mindy, short for Melinda Erin. I like Melinda on its own, but do like Mindy.

Mindy is somewhat weak-sounding, to me. Unsubstantial.

Melinda is much better.

Mindy kind of ruins Melinda.

I love Melinda...

But didn't like Mel as a nickname, and couldn't think of anything better. Mindy is cute for it! I dislike Mindy on it's own, but as an occasional nickname for Melinda, it's cute!

I think Mindy is a cute nickname, but I don't like it on its own. I'd be really pleased to meet a little Melinda nn Mindy.

I think Mindy is a sweet name, but Melinda is so much better. In other words, Mindy is an ice-cream cone, Melinda is a sundae with the works.
