1. Love It!
2. It is pretty common in the States. At least it was around the 80's.
3. I actually prefer Holleigh.
4. I don't think it's to cutesy. Actually, in P.S. I Love You (Movie) there was a sophisticated young women named Holly. No, it's not only appropriate for Christmas babies I would use it any time of year.

I adore this name and have been thinking about it a lot lately. It's not common where I live at all for young children although I just saw a friend on Facebook with a young daughter, Holli. I think that is a very pretty spelling!I think I prefer the spellings Holly and Holli equally, then Hollie.I don't think it's too cutesy at all-but I like ee-ending names. :) I have one myself! Not only for Christmas babies-not at all!

1) It's nice. I'm not wild about it, but I like it.
2) I don't think it's too common (US) - I only know one.
3) Holly is definitely my preferred spelling.
4) I don't think it's too cutesy at all-I can picture it on a girl/woman of any age. In fact, I think it ages better than the majority of other names. I think it's cute to use on Christmas babies, but it's not so Christmas-y that you couldn't use it at any other time of the year.

You know, we usually never agree on names, but I like Holly! Not my favorite, but perfectly fine and usuable, even pretty. I don't know any Holly's, and went to high school with one (last name was Wood *eyeroll*). I don't think it's dated. I prefer Holly over Hollie.I actually don't think it's cutesy. It's just like Molly, but somehow seems more mature. I don't even think of Christmas when I think of it, so no I don't think it's only for a Christmas baby.

I really like the name Holly and it's on our list for possible future use. It's pretty popular here in Australia I think, but not too popular where she'd be one of 5 Holly's in the class. Holly is the only spelling I like. I do find it cute for a little girl, but I also think it will suit a teenager and an adult. I love the name for a Christmas baby.

1. I think Holly is very sweet! It ages well and is one of my favorite botanical choices.2. I'm in the US, but I wouldn't say it's dated. I only know one Holly, and she is a mom, but the name has never felt dated.3. Holly over Hollie by a mile; it's the name of the plant, and Hollie looks fake.4. I think it's definitely appropriate for a Christmas baby, but I also think it's appropriate for a baby born in July. I don't think it's too cutesy, not any cutesier than Noelle or any other Christmas-related name.

My middle name is Holly. I was born on Christmas Eve. :)1. I've always liked it.2. It's uncommon where I live (Texas). I think I've met perhaps 2 Holly's in my entire life. Because it doesn't seem common, it doesn't feel dated to me, despite being far more popular here in the eighties than now. 3. Holly, by far. 4. I've never considered it cutesy, and I think it's fine no matter when the child is born. In fact, as a Christmas Holly, I think it's cheesy when it's given to a Christmas baby. As much as I like my middle name, I think I'd like it more if I had been born in March or June.

Know 3 Hollys. I like it and think it is pretty. I prefer Holly. I would use it for any seasonal child. It's not that common in children around here (southern USA)
