[Opinions] Marguerite?

I'm not so keen on Marguerite nor Daisy for a nn. Nino is alright but I think it is better as a nickname for Antonino.

I absolutely love Marguerite and like the nn Daisy.
Marguerite is beautiful and classy, and every time mum sees a pot of margeurite daisies in bloom she says she wishes she'd called me Marguerite.
It's a lovely historic regal name, borne by French princesses, and I say "Go for it!"

My baby sister's name :-)
She is Marguerite Siena Catherine nn Daisy- so I am kind of biased. I think it is gorgeous.
I like Nino better as a nn for something like Antonino. It is a little childish on its own.
Sorry, I am feeling very uninspired today when it comes to combos. I might come back later and edit some in!

Hehe, thanks, I think my Dad and her Mum did a good job :-)
I don't hate Marguerite, but I definitely don't love it. It seems pretentious and I would feel like the girl would be catty and mean. Daisy really doesn't seem to fit as a NN, although I definitely prefer it to something like Margie.
Nino reminds me of vino. Definitely use it as a nickname! That's why they're called nicknames... they're used as a short form of a more formal name that tends to carry a bit more heft.

Thanks for your suggestions! I love Marguerite Ottoline and Marguerite Antonia. Marguerite means Daisy in French, and that's where we got the idea from. I now realize Marguerite may seem a bit pretentious without the backstory. My husband is from France, and is insisting that we use a French name this time around. He suggested Nino, which is a common first name on its own in his country, though I would like it as a nickname. I like Nino Renato and Nino Charles from your list.
