[Opinions] Autumn
What do you think of Autumn for a girl? I kind of like it because it's similar to August (for a girl) which I love but can not use.I think it has a pretty nature feel to it and I love the season as well. Just like August it brings up images of the sunny weather of the first days of autumn/last days of summer and of colorful leaves. Do you think it's too common? Do you think it will rise even further on the charts? Too trendy? Tacky? How many Autumns do you know?

I love Autumn. I don't know any.

It is a bit on the common side, but I don't see how it could be viewed as tacky. I have a feeling it will significantly rise in popularity. I wouldn't say it was too trendy, it just doesn't really appeal to me much.

I love Autumn! I've only ever met one, but she was an infant, and I generally don't hang out with small children to know what they're being named. I'd would absolutely use it if the child was born on the autumnal equinox.

I don't like Autumn. There were probably about twenty Autumns in my high school (I graduated in 2000), so any charm is lost on me. I don't think it's tacky or a horrible name, just...blah. It's unappealing.

Autumn is in the top 100, but I don't think it's TOO common. I'm not hearing Autumn as much as I am Olivia or Isabella. It shouldn't be a problem.I think it's lovely, by the way. Very peaceful and pretty.

I'm not really crazy about it. I don't absolutely hate it, because I do think it has a certain charm. But I don't really think that "autumn" is an attractive word, so therefore how can I think it's an attractive name?I don't think it's too common, yet. I have no idea if it will rise further on the charts, stagnate, or fall. I wouldn't say it's trendy yet. Your question about whether it's tacky brings to mind an anecdote the young couple next door told me. When the wife was pregnant, she suggested Autumn to her husband. He immediately began to pantomime a stripper strutting down the runway. A stripper is the first thing that came to his mind. Being the sometimes tactless person that I can be, I told him that I didn't think Autumn was any more stripperish than the name they did eventually choose, Heather. He then admitted that he thought Heather is a stripper name, too! What..huh? That's what he named his daughter! But, no, I don't think it's tacky. I know one three-year-old Autumn. She's the daughter of my son-in-law's brother.
