I think it would be very strange if I went by my middle name, seeing how it is also a surname (Hart) I mostly go by my first name, Natalie. Often, my friends and boyfriend call me Nata for short. My brother often calls me Saff (short for Saffron, which is an online nickname I use a lot), and in some online communities I am called Tethys.
