Both of these names are a little mainstream for my usual tastes but lately I have been finding them very handsome. My theory is that everyone likes a Sam or a Joe (even though I prefer both names without a nn) and they are timeless. WDYT?

Also WDYT of:
Joseph Morgan Gulliver OR Samuel Morgan Gulliver? Which do you prefer?

I like both as well, slightly prefering Samuel to Joseph. If my SO didn't have an ex named Samantha "Sam" then Samuel would be in my top 10 for future use. I agree that there's just something so wholesome and everyday appealing to Sam and Joe.

Morgan sounds good with either pick.

Ironically, my brother's name is Samuel Joseph, and I always have been a little jealous of his name lol though I'm a girl. Sam is a wonderful name for a boy, and I like Joe too. Every Joe I know is liked, as you mentioned.

I agree, they're both great names. I'm fine with Sam as a nn for Samuel, not so fond of Joe, though. If I had a Joseph, I'd try to ensure that he was called Joseph. They are timeless. If I had to choose, I prefer Samuel to Joseph, so that's the combo I like more.

I definitely prefer Samuel and Samuel Morgan is a nice combo. Joseph is a little too mainstream for my liking and very hard not to be made into a nn - Joe just does not have the same feel as Joseph.
