Which do you prefer; Alastríona (al-as-TREE-nah) or Caitríona (kah-TREE-nah)?

Alastriona.Catriona is just a Gaelic form of Katrina/Spelling variant to me. It has lost its magic. Alastriona, on the other hand, is gorgeous and uncommon.

And to add..... It can also be pronounced cah-TREE-oh-na. Which is much prettier and it gains the charm it once had and is now competition for Alastriona.

CaitríonaI don't have the problem with Caitríona, but I have the urge to pronounce Alastríona as al-as-tree-oh-na). I do like Alasdair though.

AlastríonaCaitríona has an Anglicised form, whereas Alastríona is more unique. I prefer the sound and meaning of the latter, anyway.

AlastríonaI don't like Caitríona much because it sounds like Katrina, which I dislike.I love the sound of Alastríona though. Very pretty.
