What do you think of Odessa? I'm really liking it now, as a feminine of Odysseus. The fact that it's a place name bothers me a little, but I don't think that would really be a problem, since it's so obscure.

It has always been a GP of mine. I don't mind about the city. I'm lost for combos, but it's really late here, lol.

It's a pretty word but all I can think about is the Odessa Massacre during WWII. =(

Odessa was a main character in a video game that I was and I guess still am obsessed with, so I have very good associations with it. If you want to know more about that character, who will be the only person I ever associate with the name, google "Odessa Silverberg."
Anyway I don't think many people in the states realize it is also a city name.

What's the video game? Is it very well known?
The only time I've ever come across it in reference to the place was while reading "One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich." It's a very good book, but most people who read it do it grudgingly, and probably wouldn't recognize the word.

The video game is Suikoden, and I don't think it is hardly known at all, especially here in the states - but still one of my favorites.

I automatically thought of the city, but that doesn't both me much either. I think it is absolutely gorgeous. Thumbs up from me!

I like Odessa, but it's strictly a GP since the city is hardly obscure here and it's not really an image I'd like associated with my child.
