[Opinions] Aisling
How do you pronounce Aisling?
Do you like it?
Also, I remember on here a while back someone posted a link to a site where you can type in several names you like and it gives you some others you may like, does anyone know the site name? :)

I pronounce it Ash-ling. But depending on where you live, people might not understand the pronounciation. It's a nice nice, not too weird but not too common. I'd love to meet a little Aisling.

I pronounce it ASH-ling. I think it's pretty, though not a favorite of mine. I've seen a few babies here with that name or a variation on it (such as Aislinn). I wonder if it's becoming more popular in the US or if that's just a coincidence?

ASH-lin. I'm fond of it, but it does sound a lot like Ashley, which is a dealbreaker for me.

Ash-ling. I have heard Ash-linn as well though. It's one of those names that I wish I was fonder of. I like that it means vision. It was very popular here a few years ago so I got a little tired of it.

I really love the name, but probably wouldn't use it outside Ireland.

I pronounce Aisling as, "ASH-ling." It's very beautiful, and the meaning (dream) is lovely. The only down-side to the name is the over-popularity of Ashley. So I would keep Aisling as a mn option for the next ten years or so, until the Ashley crowd has dimmed a little.
