Is Samantha "done" for you? That is to say, would you think it was 90s popular and boring at this point? Does it have any life left in it? The name would honor a great-grandfather Samuel.

What other names would you use to honor Samuel?

I prefer Samara or Samira. I don't care for Samantha or esp. Sam as a girl's nickname.

I still like Samantha. The only other "Sam" name for a girl I can think of right now is Samara.
