[Opinions] Re: How do you pronounce these?
I'm Scottish. I've used eye to represent the same sound as the vocabulary word. Esme - EZ-may
Amelia - a-MEEL-ya
Helena - HEH-leh-na straight off but I'm comfortable with heh-LAY-na too
Cassia - I prefer CA-see-ah I know CA-shuh is most common though
Clementine - cle-men-TYNE same as the fruit. As a Scot the y in tyne doesn't rhyme with eye, more like Iy, but that's just my accent.
Lucia - LOO-sha
Kyra - KEYE-ra straight off but can see it as KEE-ra
Dahlia - DAL-ya
Ines - wouldn't be sure, same as the surname Innes straight off, but I see it's ee-NES.
Kaia - KEYE-a
Liadan - LEE-dan
Mireille - Mee-ray
Linnea - li-NAY-ah
Maya - MEYE-aCassius - CAH-see-us
Elias - ee-LIE-as
Malachi - MA-la-khay (kh = Scottish ch)
Ivo - EYE-vo
Matthias - ma-THEYE-as
Louis - LOO-ay (here it's very unusual for it to be pronounced Lewis)
Oisin - O-shin
Mordecai - mohr-di-KEYE
Taliesin - ta-lee-EH-sin
