It's starting to grow on me. It also fits the styles of my other favorite names:
Katherine
Felicity
Genevieve
Cecily
RosalineDo you like the name Adelaide?

I adore Adelaide. It's regal sounding and refined. I also love Cecily.

I don't hate it, but Adelaide is my least favorite adel- name. I much prefer Adela, Adelia, Adeline, Adelina, Adele, and Ada. Something about Adelaide falls short of pretty.

Love it! Adelaide is spunky and sweet all at the same time.

I love it. I like the nickname Addie for it and it makes a nice alternitive to Addison

I really like it, but I have trouble picturing it on a real person. Maybe in Germany, but here in the U.S.? I don't know why, but I just can't see it. Ada or Adele could work, though.

I like it. It's very pretty. I don't love it though, for whatever reason. (I do love Rosaline though!)

If you want my honest opinion, I don't hate it, but the -laide part always annoys me a bit. I prefer Ada, and I love Adeline (rhymes with wine--don't like the LEEN prn).

I like it. It's cute and fits into that pioneer-girl feel which I like. I'm surprised it isn't more popular, though it is on its way (went up 212 spots, but is still #712). I'd imagine we'll see another huge jump in 2008's list. Which comes out soon!

I love Adelaide, it's my daughters name. I also have a daughter called Cecily, so I'd have to agree they fit well.
