My mom knew a family that named a daughter Yvonne.

Only problem is, they pronounced it WY-vuh-nee.

This was out of ignorance, though, not because it was a deliberate mispronunciation.

OMG. It's the second time I'm hearing of Yvonne being mispronounced like that. The first time it was wie-VON-ee. Can't say I'm sad about it. My evil aunt is called Yvonne. She deserves to have her name mangled. ;P
