[Opinions] SSA Twin Names
What do you think of the twin names for 2008? Are there any pairings you like?Personally I find most of them too 'matchy' for my taste. Taylor and Tyler? Ella and Emma? Nevaeh and Heaven [14 pairs born] and Autumn and Summer [15 pairs] are especially cringeworthy. I don't mind Abigail and Benjamin, though I wouldn't use either name myself.Link: http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/twins.html

are two of the most attractive names on the list. Of course, Anna and John are classics first names, and Hope is the best virtue name. Emma, still, is classic sounding to me, but overused for the new generation of babies, although it wasn't at my time of birth. Autumn sounds less unique now, but I find it attractive, nonetheless.

As most people have said many of them are far too matchy and would just end up being confusing. However, there are some I like:Isabella and Sophia
Jacob and Matthew
Joshua and Matthew
Alexander and Nicholas
Jacob and Lucas
Alexander and Benjamin - This would be my top choice for twins or two boys.
Benjamin and William
Benjamin and Matthew

I'm surprised not to see the name of my distant cousin's twins:Aiden and Addison... way too matchy IMO.But he got lots of complements on those names. I did notice Aiden and Ava, which isn't surprising.

I do really like James and John (27). Both names are just so solid and masculine, they're great. I ADORE Alexander and Nicholas (50), they're two of my very favourite boy's names, and same goes for Benjamin and William. Ben and Will seems very cute.Faith and Grace is a GP for me.

I hated most of them.

Too matchy for me and cutsey, if I had twins I would give them individual names. Abigail & Benjamin is okay :)

Faith and Hope and Faith and Grace are pretty lame too. And Jayden and Jaylen? Seriously? Christian and Christopher, Makayla and Makenzie, Jayda and Jayden, and Alexander and Alexis are bad too.I love Abigail and Benjamin together! I don't mind John and James, despite them both being J's. I also like Benjamin and Samuel, Abigail and Emma, Alexander and Nicholas, Alexander and Benjamin, Benjamin and William (ooh!), Samuel and William, James and William, and John and William.

The vast majority: absolutely horrible. It's infuriating that people think that's cute. Now, the ones I actually like:Gabriel and Michael- I would never use these for twins, or even siblings, but I love both names.
Abigail and Benjamin- Dull but harmless.

Oops meant for OPI actually think these are kind of niceOlivia and Sophia (I know a sisterset with these names, but they're 3 years apart)
Nathan and Nicholas (I can see myself doing that without think about the letters before it's too late. They're such nice names)
Jacob and Matthew
Emma and Sophie
Jacob and Lucas
Maxwell and Samuel

Autumn and Summer don't grind my nerves as much as Taylor and Tyler or Gabriella and Isabella, or ... *tries to keep down her supper* Jayden and Jaylen.I don't mind, though I wouldn't use:
Logan and Lucas - Not a fan of alliteration, but at least they are good names and aren't too matchy
Isabella and Sophia
Olivia and Sophia
James and John - Again, dislike alliteration, but both are good names
Nathan and Nicholas - Ditto
Caleb and Joshua
Benjamin and Samuel
Abigail and Emma
Alexander and Nicholas
Logan and Luke
Autumn and Summer
Jacob and Lucas
Valeria and Vanessa
Abigail and Benjamin
Alexander and Benjamin
Alexander and Christopher
Benjamin and William
Samuel and William
Benjamin and Jacob
Caleb and Jacob
James and William
John and William
Maxwell and Samuel

Jayden and JaylenI must have glanced past this pair. This is bad.

Yeah, there's also Jayda and Jayden, Jada and Jaden, and Jada and Jayden. To see three combos exactly the same but with different spellings is definitely cringe worthy. Try saying them out loud.
