I love the meaning. The sound does seem a bit harsh sounding. It could grow on me though.

I think it's very pretty. I knew a girl named Sevgi, which also means "love" in Turkish, so she told me over and over and over again. Needless to say, she was annoying as hell, and tainted the image. But Sevda is lovely.
