Valeriano and Eufrosina finally have great-grandchildren, and not one, but fourteen!
In 1942, Mexico declared war on the Axis powers. Victor, Jacinto, Ovidio, Lucas, Maximo, and Benito all served in the war. They fought alongside American troops in the Pacific.
While there, Maximo fell in love with Bessie, an American nurse. When Maximo went home, Bessie asked her parents if she could marry him. They said yes. Now they are living in Mexico.
Unfortunately, Jacinto severely injured his left arm in battle. It had to be removed, but he is doing well now.
