Hey, I was JUST looking up Erato because it had spontaneously entered my mind. Weird! Anyway, I really like it, even though I usually dislike female names ending in an O. I pronounce it e-RAH-to and I definitely think it's usable. But then my favourite boy name right now is Eros, so I can't really talk.

Love it. I say er-A-to. I didn't realize it was related to "erotic." I can see how that might be, but it's not my first thought so I think it's fine.

I don't associate it with the word erotic, at least not too much. I would pronounce it eh-RAH-toh.

Just added it to my PNL!I absolutely love the name. It's romantic, historical, and rare. I'm loving the combos Erato Aliza and Erato Anzia. I think it's usable; besides being the root for the words erotic and erotica, Erato was the Muse associated with poetry and mime. It's not like she was a prostitute or a murderer.I pronounce it EHR-ah-toe.

I prn it like air-AH-toh. It's interesting but it's connection to the word "erotic" definitely makes it an unusable GP.

Too erotic, imo!I'm fairly certain it's pronounced "e-RAH-toe".

I don't care for it based on sound. It also reminds me of the words erotic and errata.

I tend to pronounce it (eh-ROH-to) vs (AIR-uh-TO), though I think the latter is very pretty. Its not my favorite of the Greek myth names due to its similarity to the word erotic.
