[Opinions] Alana
What do you think of Alana for a girl? How do you pronounce it? ah-LAH-na, ah-LON-na, ah-LAN-na? Do you think it's too common? How many do you know? Will it rise in popularity? How would you spell it?AlanaAlannaAlannahI like Alana because it's simple and Alannah because it has a classic feel (like Hannah). I also like Alanna. It used to look unbalanced to me but I met the cutest little girl named Alanna.Do you think there would be many mispronunciations/spellings? What is the most common spelling? Which one do you see most often?

I like Alanna the best. Its a really preatty name, but unfortuneaty it always bring up a redhead knight because of some books I read. Its a preatty name though.

I know an Alannah (in Oz), and as she's the only one I've ever met (of any spelling) I like that version best. It's gorgeous. She's of Irish heritage. She pronounces it a-LAH-na.

I love it! I don't know any, but it seems fairly popular. I pronounce it a-LAH-na. I prefer the spelling Alana, partially because it is simple, and partially because a book character spelled Alana is one of the main reasons I like this name. I don't like the other spellings because the double "n" makes people want to say it so it rhymes with Hannah, and I don't really like that pronounciation.

I've always said "All-onna" but maybe I'm pronouncing it completely wrong. I think Alana is a very pretty name for a girl. But, no I don't think it's popularity will rise because there are still the people that like Emily, Emma, Ava, Ashley, Sophia, Jessica, etc. better, but I like Alana alot.

Yay, Alana!I spell it Alana, pronounce it ah-LAH-na, and I love it. I've never met one and I rarely even see it in print. If it rises in popularity, I don't think it will be by much. I see it staying in the 150-250 range for a long time. The only negative about this name is that I do think mispronunciation would be a common problem, especially between ah-LAH-na and ah-LAN-na.
