I'm looking for more female names closely tied with literature or mythological characters.My favourites:Lucasta [pet name invented by poet Richard Lovelace]
Ophelia [Shakespeare's Hamlet]
Phaedra [Greek Mythology]
Athena [Greek Mythology]
Guinevere [Arthurian legend]What do you think? What are your favourites?

Levana - Roman goddess of newborn babies; also Biblical male name ("white", same root as Lebanon, the country) and a modern Hebrew female name ("moon").
Sabrina - Celtic legend; British river nymph
English literature:
Lorna

I never heard of Levana before. I like it, but probably only would name a character that.

Too lazy to list all of the ones I like, but Medea, Freya, Galahad, Tristan and Isolde were the first ones I thought of
