[Opinions] Solveig
What do you think of the name Solveig? What are some middle names you might pair with it? (Solveig Rae just isn't doing it for me, I'm afraid.)I've always kind of liked this name, ever since I had a camp counselor called Solveig. It appeals to me because of its sound, the good memories of her, and the fact that it reflects one of my dominant heritages. (I'm mostly Swiss, German, and Norwegian.) Lots of kids with cool names worked at that camp--because of them, I also like Aric and Matthiah. Any opinions on them?Array :D

We'll see the stars that shine so bright

Sorry, I dislike it. It reminds me of Solvang, a city in California, and the sound of it throws me off...maybe I'm pronouncing it wrong. Rae is very nice, though. I've seen people say it's "trashy" and I would have to disagree with that. It's strong, yet feminine. I think of Rae as an intelligent and wise person...______________________

I like it, but prefer Sunniva. As for middlenames, I can't really imagine it with non-germanic used names.Solveig Cecilia
Solveig Alexandra - I don't even care for this name, but somehow it suits Solveig.
Solveig Roos / Ros
Solveig Ilona
Solveig Lucia
Solveig Marian

Solveig is a name that I've loved for a long time, since hearing Grieg's "Solveig's Song" for the first time, to be exact. As for combos, how about:Solveig Rosamund
Solveig Anneliese
Solveig Hannelore
Solveig Alexandra
Solveig Natalya
Solveig Amalia
Solveig AninaAric and Matthiah are NMS. They don't really catch my attention. ____

Hmm... Solveig looks a bit masculine to me, but since gender is a social construct anyway, that's no big deal. It sounds kinda pretty. Hmmm... Solveig Clarisse? Solveig Amaryllis? Solveig Aurora? Solveig Jane? Solveig Belle? Solveig Roberta? I like the nn Sol, also.Aric... I like Eric. To me, Aric looks a bit odd. I pronounce the names a bit differently. It's okay.Matthiah - kinda nice. Just don't shorten it to Matt!Arcadia
