[Opinions] twin girls
Azalea Ruby Jade
Isis Giselle SageLast name= Harney (pronounced like Barney). They're not due for 7 months. Please help me come to reason. I really love saying the first names. Ruby was my esteemed gma. I like the sound of "Rubia," but it's contrived & indicates someone fair-complected which my girls shouldn't be. I substituted Giselle for Hazel. Both sound better to me with a spanish pronunciation. I know there are too many names & don't flow. My neighbor girl says "Gina, you're not having 4 babies." My son is Oliver Samuel. Suggestions?

I'm so glad to hear that things are still going well! As I recall you were calling them Isis and Asia in the womb so obviously you like Isis... so how about: If you want a first with 2 mn's:
Isis Hazel Jade
Ruby Azalea Giselle If you want Azalea and Isis as fn's:
Azalea Ruby
Isis Jada Some mixed up combos:
Hazel Jade
Azalea Ruby Good luck!

Hmm...congrats on the expected births of twin girls! How exciting!!! :)Azalea Ruby Jade & Isis Giselle Sage, the first sounds fine but the second name may have too many S's in it. It's like trying to spell Mississippi - M-i-s-s-i-s-s-i-p-p-i! :) So let me see: Isis Hazel Sage, sound like an herb! :) Okay, let's see then names together: Azalea & Isis, Oliver, Azalea & Isis, Isis & Azalea, Oliver, Isis & Azalea. I don't know! Maybe you should play around with them a bit. I'm all for multible middle names and deffinately if one twin has three names the other should too! And also you might consider the length of the twins names, for instance if someone were to name one daughter Alexandra and her twin Amy it would look rather uneven! But if they tried Amy & Alexa it would look much more even! :) So, in your case Azalea is, or looks, rather longer than Isis, because of the I in the middle of Isis that just somehow seems to keep the name snug! Where with Azalea the Z and the E seem to seperate it and open it up more. :) So that's another thing to consider. What about Ruby & Isis? Hmm...or Hazel & Ruby? But not Sage & Jade! LOL! You're on the right road, just play around with it a bit and I'm sure you'll come up with the perfect combo for your sweet baby girls! :)

I think the names flow. And if you want three names for each because you love all the names and can't decide, then use them.

Congratulations! Can you tell the sex this early in a pregnancy? It's so much fun, and not a little overwhelming, picking out a name. Double that for twins, and I can see how you're getting a wee bit carried away by the whole process. I'm glad to see you are giving the girls distinct names, not cutesy, twinny ones. But those double mns have got to go. You picked out such a great, restrained name for your son (love Oliver!) let's keep up the good work.
Azalia Ruby Jade --> Aurelia Ruby (pr. "o-RAY-lia")
Ailsa Ruby
Ava Ruby
Evangeline Ruby (nn Evie)Isis Giselle Sage --> Isla Maeve (pr. "EYE-la," = from an isle)
Lila Ruby
Artemis Sophie
Eirlys Maeve (pr. "AIR-liss," = snowdrop)

How does Rubia indicate someone fair-complected? Is there a connection I'm missing because I would not have assumed anything from Rubia.I prefer Azalea Ruby Jade to Isis Giselle Sage because the latter has too many sibilant sounds for my taste. My biggest qualm (which isn't really that big) with Azalea Ruby Jade is the duplicate gem names. I prefer Azalea Ruby Sage and Isis Giselle Jade over the originals but I prefer Azalea Ruby and Isis Giselle--omitting the Jade and Sage completely--to all of them.

Since Oliver only has two names I suggest using the same for your daughters
Though I know how hard it is to chose between your favorites, I picked out the names for both our children but I couldnt decide between Elisabeth or Catherine so I let my husband make the final decision he chose Catherine
What does your husband / Partner think of the names you like, does he like any of them more or less than you do
Azalea Ruby Jade - Two jewel names are too much I suggest you pick either Azalea Jade Harney or Azalea Ruby Harney both of which sound okay
Isis Giselle Sage - Either Isis Giselle Harney or Giselle Sage Harney
Even Isis Hazel since Hazel would be a middle name its similar look and sound to Azalea wouldnt matter so muchedited to make a slight adjustment to my wording
A childs smile is worth more to me than Gold

Thanks. I'm a single mother (sperm donor). Our Nanny doesn't express an opinion, just the neighbor girls.
