I don't mind the Italian pron - Ro-may-oh, but I strongly dislike the standard english pron of Ro-mee-oh.

It's fine for a pet, but I dislike it for a person. Roman is nice though.

It's a good name -- though it may come across as 'tacky' as some have said. This depends on where you live.

I disagree that its tacky. I think its a nice classy & spunky name.

TackyI don't understand why people like it. Honestly it's not even that romantic a story. Romeo falls for the forbidden fruit, acts like an idiot, gets his friend killed, kills a relative of his little tartlet, and then is too dumb to realise that his wife isn't actually dead, leading her to commit suicide.

Its a gp of mine. Maybe I'll use on an animal or something.

It's my cat's name.So obviously I like it, but I'm not sure how it would seem on a human being. I'm so used to it being an animal's name that it would seem weird to me personally, but it's also so tied to Romeo and Juliet that I can't really see it working.

I think it's awfulEither trashy or ridiculous and comical, in my opinion.
