I like it a lot, but it doesn't go with my other names. Sometimes I do not like it though. It really depends.

Yeah, me too. Sometimes I'm totally turned off by it and then sometimes it's amazing. It's been amazing more often than not lately.

I feel the exact same way. My cousin loves this name because of the Swan Princess :) But to me it never sounded like "odor" or anything like that. Sometimes it seems a bit to frilly-french for me though but besides that I have mostly good associations with the name, and I am a sucker for French names.

I would probably pair it with an equally French sounding name...

Odette Madeleine
Odette Caroline
Odette Julienne
Odette Jacqueline
Odette Eugénie
Odette Adélaïde
Odette Zénaïde

It would probably go well with any "classic" sounding name.
