Love it.I think Thelma's a fantastic name. I really like the sound of Thelma Louise--ha, kidding. ;D I also love Selma and Velma. To be serious, I like Thelma Juniper, Thelma Terese, and Thelma Rain.Array
Get into the car
We'll be the passenger
We'll ride through the city tonight
See the city's ripped insides
We'll see the bright and hollow sky
We'll see the stars that shine so bright
The sky was made for us tonight

I think it's sweet. It does kind of sound like Selma with a studder if you think about it too much.

It does sound old but I think it could be ready to be put back into rotation... Does that make sense? I think the world is ready for baby Thelma's and Gloria's but not Agnes's or Ethel's... ----Betsy-----

It sounds incredibly old to me. Always has.

My great-aunt is named Thelma and she's a schizophrenic. I love her, so it's not a totally bad association, but it's still too old for me to love it."No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

YES!
THelma is very heavy and stern. It is one of my least favorite names. (Gertrude is #1)
