I actually kind of like it on a boy. I don't really mind it on a girl, but I do think it goes much better on a boy.
I think Riles is no good. I don't like it when people put s on the end of short forms of things. Like calling a Julia "Jules." Plus riles(/rile) is a word.
I just heard the name Rilo. I think that would be a kind of cool nn, although I really don't think Riley needs a nn at all.
